High Standards at GL Coachworks
At GL Coachworks every effort is made to improve standards in line with the market. The following changes were implemented in order to obtain the PAS 125 Kitemark and ISO 9001 certification:
Qualified staff:
- 2 ATA accredited vehicle damage assessors
- 2 NVQ Level 3 qualified MET Technicians
- 2 NVQ Level 3 Panel Technicians
- 2 NVQ Level 3 Paint Technicians
- 2 Automotive glazing NVQ Level 2 technicians
- 2 Panel Technicians certified for BS1140, BS4872, MIG Brazing and ultra high strength/high strength steel welding.
- 2 3M panel bonding certified technicians
- 1 3M plastic repair certified technicians
- 1 City & Guilds Level 3 certified mobile air conditioning technician
- All staff receive aftermarket equipment specific training on any new equipment purchased.
Equipment upgrades:
- New state of the art GYSpot BPLCX inverter spot welder
- GYSpot Duo twin torch mig welder
- New computerised mangement system purchased (Concorde informatics) and paper management system introduced to increase productivity and efficiency at all stages of repair and administraion processes.
Continual service scheduling and calibration to British standards ensures all equipment used is kept in good working order.
We have also increased the use of repair methods through the susbriptions to e-scribe and thatcham helpline which supply thatcham and manufacturers repair methods. These methods along with the correctly trained staff enables repairs to be carried out efficiently and to a very high standard and ensures that the vehicles structrual integrity remains after the repair process.
There is a continuing investment in people and equipment at GL Coachworks to sastisfy industry changes and customer demands at all times.
